The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has urged politicians, stakeholders and members of the public, who genuinely desire peace and progress of the State to join hands with Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The party said the Governor, “who believes in politics without bitterness”, has been running and will continue to run an inclusive government.

The party made the call to join hands with Abiodun’s inclusive government following the judgement of the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, which dismissed the petition filed by the Allied People’s Movement (APM) against the victory of Abiodun in the March 9th Governorship poll.

In the lead judgement, read by Justice Muhammed Ambi-Usi Danjuma, the court ruled that the 10 grounds filed by the APM and its Governorship candidate, Hon. Abdul Kabir Adekunle Akinlade, lacked merit.

The party at a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, shortly after the judgement, described the ruling as the reaffirmation of the divine mandate given to the party and the Governor at the polls.

The party added that it believes that ” the latest judgement from the Appeal Court will put an end to the side distractions of this budding political association touting unmerited mandate”.
